The Operation Hat Trick Game organized by Scott Hartnell and Brad Richards. The game with the tickets ranging from 20 dollars to 100 dollars. The proceeds went to the American Red Cross, Empire State Relief Fund and the New Jersey Hurricane Relief Fund. The NHLPA also donated $20,000 to the charities. The game featured Team New York vs. Team New Jersey, with team New York winning by a score of 10-6 A game like this can help market the players and team involved in events like this because it gives viewers,fans or critics nothing but good things to say about players involved in these events. Especially during the NHL lockout having players involved in these charity events could help the owners of the NHl to decided to agree with the players and get the season rolling. Also the players and programs could get more fans and supporters from the peoples lives they touched while playing in this game.
